Members of our Communications and Engagement Team are celebrating after winning the Best Use of Insight category at the 2017 CIM Northern Awards for the NHS Child Health App.
The CIM Northern awards are sponsored by the Marketing Trust and were held in Manchester earlier this month. The ceremony was hosted by TV’s Andy Crane and celebrated the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region.
Diane Earles, network manager for CIM, said, “Congratulations to NECS on their winning Child Health campaign, which used insight from A&E attendances to develop an app for parents of children under 5 years old.” Dawn Holmes, Director at Insight Magicians, who judged this category, said “This entry showed a good understanding of marketing practice and demonstrated a clear understanding of the business issue facing the NHS. I particularly liked the use of focus groups for multiple stages in the project.”
Caroline Latta, communications and engagement senior manager for NECS said, “This is a great achievement for everyone involved in the development of the insight and its use in the development of the app, and we are honoured to have won this prestigious award.
“The child health app is an invaluable resource for parents and carers of young children. We hope it will give people more confidence in looking after their child at home, by providing easy to understand guidance on common childhood illnesses and as well as advice on when, and where, to seek further treatment.”
