The NECS IT Team have recently been shortlisted in the 2018 Building Better Healthcare Awards Best use of Technology category.
The judges were looking for entries which show how IT teams and their partners have worked together to seamlessly deploy technology so as to achieve measurable efficiencies; and how those deployments have been integrated for the benefit of staff and other users.
The project entry that resulted in the shortlisting looks at improving the availability and booking of nurse appointments online.
The IT Team worked with GP practices to automate the online scheduling of nurse appointments which means administrators spend less time on the phone booking and managing appointments. This frees up their schedule for more important and pressing tasks; and patients feel more in control, and have a higher degree of satisfaction.
Well done to the team!
