The NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) was made available to the NHS from April 2015, following sustained engagement and consultation with key stakeholders from NHS organisations across England. The purpose of the standard is to ensure employees from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) backgrounds have equal access to career opportunities and receive fair treatment in the workplace.
NECS is committed to paying due regard to the WRES and will to use it to provide continuous improvements in our performance both as an employer and a commissioning support service provider.
