The NECS Surge Team is organising a series of events – developing a Regional Falls Strategy, a regional Trusted Assessor workshop and the annual Winter Debrief event.

Developing a Regional Falls Strategy – 26th February 
Local A&E Delivery Boards (LADBs) have been invited to send three representatives each to this event, taking place at the Learning, Research and Innovation Institute, James Cook University Hospital, 26 February, 9.30am to 4.15pm.

Regional Trusted Assessor Workshop – 6th March
LADBs have been invited to send five representatives each to this event (to include representatives from acute care and local authorities). It takes place at the Lecture Theatre, Middlefields Centre, at North Tees Hospital site in Stockton, Wednesday 6 March, 9.30am to 3pm.

Winter Debrief Event – 14th March
The annual Winter Debrief event will take place on Thursday 14 March and is aimed at staff involved in surge management across the North East and North Cumbria from primary, secondary and social care, the voluntary and independent sector and commissioning organisations.

The aim is to learn lessons from this winter and identify and share best practice and innovation.

We would encourage attendance from every LADB so we can agree a consistent approach in readiness for winter 2019/20.
