We’ve developed the Urgent and Emergency Care RAIDR Application in response to and in collaboration with our UEC system partners. The App provides front line staff and managers with near real time information on the status of the regional health system. It contains information on emergency departments, ambulances and bed numbers and provides notifications to escalating or improving situations. The ongoing development of the app, driven by front line staff, is leading to the inclusion of additional intelligence from Primary Care, Pharmacy and Community Services. The imminent release of the next version of the application will also include functionality to support provider organisations in electronic recording of their Escalation plans, allowing hospitals to inform the wider system on the actions being taken.
Since the development and deployment of the app, which has been implemented in a number of our providers escalation plans and structures will continue to support performance of UEC in the North East the app is being rolled out in other regions including Leeds.
