In April 2015 NHS England introduced a Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) across all NHS organisations, including 9 indicators to monitor outcomes and the effectiveness of actions taken to improve them.
NECS is fully supportive of the approach. As well as supporting our customers to collate their WRES data, we publish our own WRES report. Whilst we have made some progress in relation to the standard, we acknowledge we still have much more to do.
This report helps us to understand the progress we are making in ensuring that all employees, regardless of their ethnic background, have equal access to career opportunities and fair treatment in the workplace.
