NHS colleagues and their families are invited to the annual Carol Service at Durham Cathedral to celebrate the contribution health and care staff make to improving lives – putting patients at the centre of everything they do.
The NHS Carol Service provides an opportunity for colleagues of all faiths and backgrounds, to come together in an inclusive event at Durham Cathedral on Thursday 7 December 2023 from 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm. The event will include reflective readings, prayers, and singing of carols to start the festive period.
A choir, formed especially for the event, will lead the congregational singing. NHS colleagues, past and present, are invited to join the choir and to take part as readers.
NHS North of England Care System Support (NECS) is honoured to organise this highly anticipated event on behalf of NHS organisations in the North East and further afield.
All colleagues and members of the public are welcome. Tickets are not required. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
To join the choir, take a reading, or volunteer on the night, contact NECS at necsu.corpcomms@nhs.net. The first choir rehearsal will take place at Durham County Hall on 16th, 23rd and 30th November 5.45pm to 6:45pm.
