Overview
Following national guidance to deliver a safe and effective vaccination programme and increase vaccination uptake in the eligible population, our Systems Vaccination Operation Centre (SVOC) service provides leadership and operational management of the COVID, seasonal and year-round vaccination programmes across ICBs and NHS systems.
This service provides core collaboration with key partners within the ICB and NHSE Screening and Immunisations team to establish a Strategic Immunisations and Partnership Group (SIPG), to design an ICB approach to implement the National Vaccination Strategy.
Currently working with North East and North Cumbria (NENC) ICB (the largest ICB in the country), we co-ordinate the commissioning, activation, assurances and end to end vaccine management for a network of over 400 sites. This includes 16 foundation trusts, 65 primary care networks, 315 community pharmacies and additional federations and outreach providers.

“There are still many residents across NENC that need this quality of service, especially the vulnerable. NENC has some of the greatest social economic and health inequalities across Europe and the people deserve the best of services. The SVOC service delivers on that. Without SVOC, we simply could not have delivered the very successful programme we have.”
