NECS is proud to announce the publication of an article in the British Medical Journal by Dr James Prentis, Consultant Anaesthetist, Visiting Fellow at Northumbria University, and his colleagues.
Dr Prentis has collaborated with NECS and the RAIDR team over the last two years to develop and implement a digital risk stratification tool focused on improving perioperative care for patients currently on the elective waiting list.
The result of this was RAIDR’s award-winning Waiting Well dashboard which provides aggregated near real-time primary care data combined with the national Elective Waiting List dataset to Integrated Care Boards, Integrated Care Systems, Primary Care Networks, Provider Trusts and Public Health specialists supporting regional Waiting Well programmes.
The abstract examines the association of prevalent risk factors with socioeconomic deprivation in patients waiting for high volume low complexity surgical procedures in the North East and North Cumbria region.
Data was collected from RAIDR’s Waiting Well digital solution to inform the study and provide evidence to support its conclusion. Read the full article at BMJ article.
