As a minimum, all NHS organisations are required to publish details of contracts that they have awarded, who the contract has been awarded to and its value to ensure public accountability and transparency.

Our Contrakta platform aims to provide an end-to-end solution to support a standard approach to contract management and system planning. Contrakta will support customers to comply with national requirements whilst helping their teams to work smarter and more efficiently.

Where other systems are ridged in their approach to change, the NECS Contrakta platform aims to support customers with their workflow and processes by giving customers autonomy to align the system to their ways of working.

Our offer

Contrakta includes all the functions you would expect to see from a contract management system:

  • Information governance management
  • Assured contract performance
  • Enhanced oversight and control
  • Financial efficiency and insights.

And our system gives customer assurances whilst empowering them to optimise their contractual commitments with a flexible approach.

The benefits

The biggest benefits to using our system is the ability to produce a single version of the truth, whilst facilitating standardisation and system assurance in a cost-efficient working environment.

Other benefits:

  • One single system to replace amalgamated spreadsheets
  • Facilitates standardised processes
  • Enhances audit and assurance
  • Enhances at scale reporting and monitoring
  • Facilitate planning commissioning and procurement at scale
  • Facilitates efficiencies for financial planning and contract population
  • Responds to current challenges such as PSR (changes to procurement legislation)
  • Ideal in a system where staff resources are significantly reduced due to efficiencies
  • Mitigates against risk.

Our experience

What led us to develop Contrakta:

  • Contracts for multiple clinical commissioning groups
  • Contract information collected on multiple spreadsheets
  • Lack of oversight and reporting – numbers of contracts sent / signed
  • Significant reduction in staffing to achieve ICB savings for key customer
  • Lack of standardised documentation terms and processes
  • Issues with identifying commissioned services for transformation and system planning
  • Inefficiencies of integral processes of the planning cycle
  • Changes in legislation.
