Expressions of Interest for Voluntary Redundancy

Home 5 Expressions of Interest for Voluntary Redundancy

All VR related documents listed within the guidance or hosted on the CSU Collaboration Zone (intranet) have been added to the end of this webpage for your ease.

The national NHS Voluntary Redundancy (VR) scheme is in the final stages of approval. Our scheme will be based on this, with the intention there is one scheme for the whole NHS. We are working in partnership with our Staffside colleagues to support the process.

In anticipation of a national VR scheme we have launched an Expressions of Interest (EoI) process, which is the first phase of our VR process. This stage will help us to understand the number of colleagues who are interested in taking voluntary redundancy.

Voluntary redundancy provides an opportunity for colleagues who potentially want to leave our organisations to leave voluntarily and receive a severance payment.

The Expressions of Interest process opened on Thursday 19 June 2025 and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 13 July 2025.

Should you have any queries that cannot be answered through the guidance and support documents on this page, please contact HRChangeCSUCollab@nhs.net.
